Volume 129: Rest in Pre Camp
One final Sabbath before the summer officially begins!
A group of staff is already at camp and they are wonderful so amen to that!
As I think about these past 3 weeks in Mt. Ida, I am very thankful for the slow pace of life!
No rush.
No traffic.
Taking 20 minutes to explain the rules of pickleball.
Rafa slowly cooking tortillas.
Standridge's telling us it's a "short" drive to the hike but it was over 30 minutes.
Playing baseball while it was sprinkling rain.
Sitting on the porch reading.
Amen! Could fill a chapter of Ruthless Elimination of Hurry!
Slow. Refreshing. Restful!
This morning, I got to walk with Debbie and Bruce, see Finn, Ollie and Frannie from their porch, read a book with the Allreds and then go to church with Yellerton! All within about an hour time frame! I mean come on! An Unpluggers dream!
While my schedule is about to fill up and speeeddd up, may I remember that I still always have access to the well that never runs dry! A well that provides true rest to my soul!
